This is an Art Déco Nude Woman Painting, Oil On Canvas Naked Woman, from the early 1900s.

The work is a fine painting, hand-painted in the early 1900s.

Signed bottom right C. Bacchi (1881-1971), Italian painter and sculptor from Bologna.

Cesare Bacchi (1881-1971) attended courses by the Bolognese painter Alfredo Savini at the Academy of Verona in 1902.

He moved to France in 1905 and followed the teachings of master Paul Jean Gervais (1859-1936), who specialised in female nudes.

He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Françaises in Paris in 1910 and was awarded a third medal and from 1920 began to

exhibiting regularly at the Salon. In 1938, he was awarded the gold medal for his painting ‘Paul Verlaine’.

During his lifetime, he received numerous honours. He died at his home in Paris in 1971
