On the back of the painting is written 'Courchevel, Savoie - Le Grand Bec', which is located in the Western French Alps.

Le Grand Bec, the peak located in France in Savoy and more precisely in Courchevel within the "Parc National de la Vanoise".

Courchevel has been a very important skiing and tourist resort since 1850.

The work is an oil painting with a carved wooden frame, original and coeval to the antique painting.

It is a painting on canvas, signed in the bottom right by Lucien Quenard (1902-1995), a French painter active in the 20th century.
